These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CHRONOS application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing or using CHRONOS, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
CHRONOS is an AI-powered interactive historical experience that allows users to engage in voiced conversations with AI-generated representations of historical figures and settings. The Service uses large language models and text-to-speech technology to generate responses in real time.
Important: All characters, voices, dialogue, and historical representations generated by CHRONOS are produced by artificial intelligence. They are creative reconstructions, not factual records. CHRONOS does not claim to accurately represent the beliefs, words, opinions or personalities of any historical person. Content should not be relied upon as historical fact.
You must be at least 13 years old to use CHRONOS. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
New users receive one complimentary taster conversation upon first use of the Service at no charge. This free tier is limited to a small number of AI-generated responses and is intended as a demonstration of the Service only.
The free tier is limited to one use per user account and per device. We use device fingerprinting to enforce this limit. Attempts to circumvent this limit by creating multiple accounts or using multiple devices constitute a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination.
Beyond the free tier, use of the Service requires the purchase of generation credits ("Charge") as described in our Pricing page.
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We accept major credit and debit cards.
Due to the digital and immediately consumable nature of generation credits, all purchases are generally non-refundable once credits have been used. We will consider refund requests in the following limited circumstances:
Refund requests must be submitted to [email protected] with your account email and details of the transaction. We reserve the right to refuse refund requests that do not meet the above criteria. This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase of digital content. However, by using credits immediately upon purchase, you expressly consent to delivery of the digital content beginning immediately and acknowledge that your right to cancel will be lost once you have begun using the credits.

All content, design, code, branding and materials associated with CHRONOS, including the name, logo, globe interface, and the overall concept, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
AI-generated responses produced during your sessions are generated on your behalf for your personal use. You may not reproduce, distribute or commercialise session content without our prior written consent.
Historical figures depicted in CHRONOS are public domain as individuals. However, the specific AI-generated voices, personas and dialogue created within CHRONOS remain our intellectual property.
CHRONOS generates AI representations of historical figures for educational and entertainment purposes. We make no warranty as to the historical accuracy of any generated content. Specifically:
We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice. In the event of permanent discontinuation of the Service, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance and to refund unused credits on a pro-rata basis where technically practicable.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CHRONOS and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
